Andrew Leach, Managing Director
Andrew is a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Geologist with more than 30 years of international consulting experience. He has more than 20 years experience in the use of geosynthetic materials for waste management and mineral processing and is experienced in the evaluation, planning and design of integrated hazardous waste management systems. Dr Leach has also been closely involved with the planning and implementation of long term environmental services for the oil sector, in Azerbaijan and Georgia. He has been responsible for investigations of land contaminated with a wide range of chemicals, including hydrocarbons, metals and cyanide, He has worked on a number of mining projects including coal, iron ore gold and silver, lead-zinc, bauxite and tantalum in North and South America, Russia, Mozambique and Kosovo. Andrew has been the geotechnical consultant on a number of trunk road projects and has been an expert witness for planning appeals and court cases.
Peter Stevens, Director
Peter is a Chartered Geologist with 25 years of experience in environmental geology, hydrogeology and geotechnical engineering. He has completed more than one hundred fifty engineering and environmental projects, including waste management planning and engineering, contaminated site remediation, water resources evaluation and protection, and ground engineering. He has managed multi-million Dollar environmental construction projects with World Bank and European Union funding in Azerbaijan and Romania and is experienced in contracts such as FIDIC, ICE and World Bank models. Peter has also undertaken numerous geological investigations, environmental audits, construction supervision, environmental impact assessment, expert witness and planning projects in more than twenty countries, including four former soviet republics. These projects have included assisting with the development of waste management legislation, institutional support and structuring of waste management concerns. He has also designed training programmes. Peter is moderately fluent in Russian.
Andrew Hall, General Manager, Azerbaijan Office
Andy is a geologist with 9 years experience in environmental and engineering projects. He was worked on hazardous and non-hazardous waste management and the remediation of contaminated soil and water. He has experience of Contract Management, using FIDIC conditions, and also the site management of engineering and quality control. He manages the office in Baku, with a staff of 10 people.
Robert Stevens, Environmental Engineer
Robert is an environmental engineer with 10 years experience in water, wastewater and leachate treatment, where he has experience in the design, analysis and optimisation of many processes. He also has experience of related aspects of environmental engineering, including ecological surveying, waste management, composting auditing and regulatory liaison. Robert also has several years experience in landfill construction supervision and quality assurance. He has strong experience in developing and implementing operating procedures, for both quality management and regulatory compliance purposes, and in implementing such systems. He has regularly acted as a trainer in courses, workshops and hands-on situations. He has good computer skills, including analytical and numerical modelling using special packages and spreadsheets.
Keith Tysall, Resident Engineer
Keith is a resident engineer with more than 30 years experience as a construction supervisor and has provided contract management and construction quality assurance supervision for over 20 landfill engineering projects. He has extensive knowledge of containment lining systems, geosynthetic materials and soils testing. He also has experience of site investigation, highway construction and airport runway construction. Keith has recently completed supervision of an EU-funded mine tailings restoration project in Kosovo and a highway reconstruction project in Azerbaijan.
Warren Leach, Construction Manager
Warren has 10 years experience of mechanical and civil design, in materials handling, composting and waste management. He has worked as a Health and Safety Advisor for a major waste management project for the oil industry in the Azerbaijan Republic and was responsible for the preparation of HSE documentation and procedures. He was also responsible for the implementation and documentation of HSE measures during construction. He has been a Design Engineer (for CQA) solid waste handling facility in Azerbaijan. Warren is currently Construction Manager designing and supervision the construction of heap leach pads and associated infrastructure on a gold mine in Azerbaijan. He is experienced in the design, construction and maintenance of mechanical handling systems.
İsmail Eyvazov, Senior Engineer
Ismail is a construction engineer with 40 years experience in construction engineering and supervision of international and national industrial, public and private buildings. Ismail supervised and directly participated in construction of Sulphur Dioxide Emissions facility, fire station and water reservoir of the Tengiz Oil field project in Kazakhstan. Additionally, Ismail had worked as site engineer in construction of secondary school and multiple-story living flats in Russia. Ismail had also supervised the maintenance of Baku State University and several buildings of Local Executive Authorities. Currently, Ismail serves as a senior engineer to CQA, supervising the construction of heap leach pads and associated infrastructure on a gold mine.
Vagif Vakhabov, Engineer
Vagif is construction engineer with 39 years experience as an engineer, supervisor and project manager of the construction of industrial, public and private buildings. Specifically, Vagif had worked in construction of Oil Terminal on the shore of the Caspian Sea, of Hospitals, the rehabilitation of Bayil land-slide zone and reconstruction of rail and trolleybus road in Baku. Vagif had worked as chief of technical department of a national construction company. Currently, Vagif serves as a senior engineer to CQA, supervising the construction of heap leach pads and associated infrastructure on a gold mine.
