Baku, Azerbaijan: Development of an Integrated Waste Management Plan for the management of oil industry generated hazardous wastes for BP’s Caspian Sea activities. Auditing of waste producing and treatment facilities, provision of performance monitoring and operational, health, safety and environmental documentation review. Development of detailed operational procedures for projects including large scale bioremediation of drill cuttings, decommission of a disused landfill and health and safety management of contractors. Preparation and delivery of safety and operational training materials to operatives.

Baku, Azerbaijan: Development of an Integrated Management Plan for municipal waste from the city of Baku. Study carried out on behalf of the European Bank.

Qatar: Study of solid waste management in offshore operations. The work involved comprehensive audits of installations in four oil and gas fields, an island terminal, mainland supply base and shipping operations.

Development of waste management strategy for Absheron Peninsula, Azerbaijan:  Government of Azerbaijan.  This project involves the development of a strategic integrated waste management plan for this populous urban and industrial area.  The work involves assessing existing facilities and defining short, medium and long-term development plans.  The project is coordinated with a number of agencies, including the World Bank.
